I’ve started writing this blog to allow me to comment on what’s happening to our NHS and the response of our unions, especially Unite, my own union. Every day there seems to be a new attack on the NHS as a public service. Working in health is not just another job. The NHS could not function without the dedication of those who work in it. But successive Governments’ drive to bring in the market is seeking to end all that.
I welcome comments. If we are to defend our NHS, it has to be a collective effort. If we are all pulling together, those of us who work in the NHS, and those from the wider public who value our NHS, then we are unstoppable.
